Meatball

I realized I missed Timehop Tuesday yesterday, and unfortunately between last night and this morning we had to deal with a sad thing.

Meatball, the third gerbil we got on 8/19, got super sick and lethargic yesterday evening and didn’t make it through the night. We are all sad, Maya especially so, and will miss his little nibbles and chunkiness.

We made some beaded bracelets and cage memorial beads this afternoon, and will lay him to rest in our yard this weekend.

It’s a hard lesson to learn about life, but worth it because of the joy even something as small as a gerbil can bring to our lives.
