Hi everyone!  Happy Friday!  I can't believe we are finishing up week 3 of summer...and June!  It all goes so fast.  We have had a busy week, but here are some pics:

Weekend Wrap-Up

Hi all!  Happy Sunday.  We had a nice weekend.  yesterday morning I got out for my 8 mile long run and saw the sunrise in a couple of different beautiful spots.  

We spent most of the day in Ellsworth, WI for the CHEESE CURD FEST.  We got there just in time for lunch.




Uncle Dan, Auntie Hanna, Mitchell and Isla met us there too, for some ice cream tasting, park playing, and curd eating contest watching.  

It was a great time!

Today we spent the morning cleaning, and then Chris and Dan ended up playing a round of golf, so the girls and I headed over to their house while they played for some more Gosselin cousin time!  It was CHAOS, as usual.

The weather was crazy on our way home... it was sunny with beautiful and crazy clouds.  But we could see from the highway that our neighborhood had lots of rain happening, and we did in fact drive right into it.

A Picture Update: Summer Week 2!

Hey all!  Happy Friday!

We had a busy week.  On Monday, we met the Dahlens at the pool in the afternoon.  It was HOT, so it was a perfect day for swimming.

I had a longer mid-week training run on Tuesday morning (6 miles), and it went really well and was lovely that early in the morning.

Later in the morning, Maya continued with swimming lessons, and then started basketball camp.

Then we went to see The Little Mermaid movie with Boom!

On Wednesday, after all the camps, Maya and I headed to the pool, Callie had fun with my phone camera, and Maya loved getting sprayed by the hose (but from the inside).

I decided to go a different direction for my Thursday morning training run, and ended up finding snow! ;)

I watched more of Maya's basketball camp...

...and Callie made a pie!

Today, even though it is nearly 90 degrees, I felt like making soup.  So I made my favorite Corn and Leek Bisque and later snuggled with Luna...and the girls spent the afternoon with G-ma.

Weekend Wrap-Up

Hi all!  Happy Sunday...and Happy Father's Day to all the amazing dads out there.   We are so lucky to have some of the best- Chris, Bops, Pa, Papa, Grampy, and Grandpa.  

This weekend was wild!  The girls had TWO dance recitals...the first one was on Friday night.

They both loved performing and Chris and I had a blast watching them.

On Saturday morning, the girls and I met up with Auntie Yoda, Lucy and Mila for a picnic lunch, some play time and a walk near Lake Nokomis.

Then later was the second dance recital, with G-ma, Auntie Hanna and Pa joining us to cheer the girls on!

All in all, it was a successful dance recital weekend!

This morning I went out to get some Father's Day donuts, we went out to lunch, and played a little mini-golf. 

Later this afternoon, Uncle Dan, Auntie Hanna, Mitchell, Isla and Pa came over for some backyard playtime and dinner.

A Picture Update: Summer Week 1!

Hi all!  I'm calling this the end of summer week 1, even though technically the girls have been off for 2 weeks.  But this is the first week the summer activities started and we were all home together, so therefore...week 1 is done!

On Monday Callie started her summer theater program (The Little Mermaid...she's going to be a tap-dancing seagull and is PSYCHED about it) and Maya started swimming lessons!

After the morning activities, we headed to the pool to use our summer pool passes for the first time of the season.  It was LOVELY.  And Maya even lost a tooth!

After swimming lessons on Tuesday Maya and I organized stuff for the garage sale we hope to have next weekend...and then she and I went to the beach! Later, we enjoyed the beautiful weather in our backyard.  Yes, Callie is using an old hose to lift up the toddler car over the swing set.

Apparently I didn't take any pictures on Wednesday, but on Thursday we had the dance recital dress rehearsal.  And some cute Luna moments.

Today we headed back to the beach for a couple hours in the afternoon.  

Come back on Sunday for a lot of dance recital content! There are two shows this weekend, and the girls are excited!

A Picture Update

Hi all! TGIF and TGI...SUMMER!

This was a VERY long week but I finally made it to summer, too!

The girls had a busy first week of their summer.  On Monday they went to Boom's house for baking, tooth losing, being silly, and relaxing, among other things.

On Tuesday they stayed home with Chris and Maya did some weeding...while I wore black along with two of my work BFFs, so we had to get a photo (also it was spirit week (color day) and the staff color was black).  

The girls spent Wednesday with G-ma where they swam, relaxed, kayaked...and also had lunch with Boom and Mila!

They spent Thursday with Pa where they went out to lunch, spent time doing art and playing mini-golf.  I captured my last 4am run sky (hopefully my body will let me sleep in a bit later this summer!) and the last day of work for the year with my work BFF, Taylor.

Today was my first official day of summer!  So, of course, the girls and I headed to THE BEACH.  One of my fave summer locales. You can definitely expect many more beach pictures this summer!

This afternoon we headed over to babysit Mitchell and Isla, because it is Dan and Hanna's 5th anniversary today!  Yay!!
