Timehop Tuesday

Happy Tuesday! I have gotten multiple emails from Lifetouch Photography the past couple of weeks trying to get me to buy more photos of the girls from over the years. But the benefit of all the annoying emails is they send these thumbnails!

Talk about Timehops!

And then we have Maya in July 2015 and Avery in July 2024 in these cute pink shorts!

Weekend Wrap-Up: The Door County & Denver Edition!

Hey all! Happy Sunday! Lots to report on from the weekend.

Chris was in Wisconsin fly fishing on a beautiful river.

The girls, G-ma and Boom continued their fun in Door County! On Friday they took a ferry to Washington Island.

Meanwhile Luna got to hang out with Uncle Dan, Auntie Hanna, Mitchell, Isla and Shambles.

And I made it to Denver and got to help pick Avery up from daycare! Then we hung out at their house and had fun in the backyard.

And then Mari and I went out to dinner at Adelita’s, a yummy Mexican restaurant.  And did you peep Mari’s belly from the photo above?? Her drink at dinner contained NO spirits…because she’s having a baby in December. Woohoo!!!

On Saturday the Door County crew took it easy in the morning and then went on a boat ride.

Later they dressed up for dinner and an outdoor show!

Meanwhile in Denver, I went on a pretty walk and then played with Avery in the morning.

Then we headed to the pool!

After nap time (for all of us) we had a snack and walked to the park.

Then we played outside, had dinner and watched the Olympics!

Today we watched more Olympics and watched Avery play until Jenna and Bethany picked me up for part 2 of my Denver adventure.

Meanwhile the girls, Boom and G-ma headed out to brunch!

That’s all for now…I’ll be back at some point later this week to wrap up the vacations!

Enjoy your Sunday…and GO TEAM USA! ❤️

A Picture Update: Summer Week 7

What a big week!

On Monday Maya had fun on the slip 'n' slide again, we went to Max's birthday dinner, and got ready for our birthday girl's big day.

Tuesday was the big day!  She woke up (EARLY) and opened presents.

We met G-ma for lunch at Chipotle, and Auntie Cat and Boom stopped by.

Later Pa and Max came over for dinner and games.

It was a great day!

On Wednesday morning, Chris dropped the girls off early with G-ma and Boom and they all headed to Door County in WI!  I have gotten lots of pictures from their adventures, so I'll share them here.  It looks like they have been having a great time. :)

Meanwhile, I hung out with Luna, went to the pool, and Chris and I ordered Indian takeout.

The photos from Thursday in Door County didn't disappoint! They headed to Bailey’s Harbor to see a lighthouse and the beach!

Later they enjoyed time back at the resort.

I went to a happy hour with coworkers and hung out with Luna.

Today I’m off to Denver to spend the weekend with Mari, Josh and Avery, and then meeting up with my friends Jenna and Bethany for our yearly concert trip! I’m not sure what my blog schedule will be as I’ll be out of my regular routine, but I’ll do my best to post when I can.

Have a great weekend!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Hey all!  Happy Sunday.  We had 2 big events this weekend.

Yesterday we went to the Twins game!  Chris got tickets through work and it was a lovely night for a ball game.  Our seats were straight across from the Ford Center, a building where my dad had an office for awhile.

This morning Maya and I went out early(ish) for our training run and I took her to my fave wooden bridge.  We got to 2.25 miles and she did great.  We use an interval timer to run 4 minutes and walk 1 minute over and over and it makes it more palatable for her to get the mileage done.

Then it was time to prepare for her birthday party! I ordered custom cookies again (remember Callie's T-Swift birthday cookies?) from Chris' cousin Beth.  Maya's chosen party theme was DOGS and Beth did an amazing job!

Party time arrived and THANKFULLY there were no thunderstorms (though it rained a lot earlier in the day) so the kids were able to do the Slip 'n' Slide!

Then it was time to move inside for a rousing game of POOP BINGO!

Of course, we had a taco bar for dinner.

And then Maya opened gifts- so many cool arty dog themed presents!

The grand finale was her playing the "Happy Birthday" song on the flute with Boom accompanying her on the Autoharp, and then the cookies!

Click here for some of the slip 'n' slide action and then, of course, the lovely performance.

All in all it was a fun weekend and now we gear up for more birthday celebrations as the big day is coming up on TUESDAY!

A Picture Update: Summer Week 6

Happy Friday!! We had a fun week.

On Monday G-ma took me, Hanna and Cat out for an awesome dinner!

We enjoyed walking around the grounds and seeing the lovely sunset after our meal.

Here are some scenes from Tuesday and Wednesday: kennel buddies, the pool, a Lynx game and hanging with Mila!

On Thursday Boom took Maya to MOA, and later we enjoyed some reading on the porch and pickleball before picking Callie up from work…who spent her tip money on a Bundt cake!

This morning the girls and I went to Hastings to tour the LeDuc mansion- a civil war era historical home.

I’ll leave you with a current photo one of our pots- the dahlias have exploded and are so lovely!

Have a great weekend.
